You can never have enough Little black dresses. Never!

This is another addition to my wordrobe and most recent make. I am consciously deciding to use the sewing patterns I already have and slow down on buying new patterns. So I present to you McCalls  M7429(Out of Print).

Now let me tell you about this pattern! Its cute right! The twist front just accentuates the waist and gives a great silhouette right? Yah! that twist was a nightmare to work with smh. I tried to read through the instructions and I was left more confused than I started. I eventually threw the instructions away. Lay my pieces down and started to figure out and manipulate the twist. I eventually figured out something that worked for me and voila!

Even though the rating for this pattern is easy..the front twist makes it a bit complicated. Anyways I am glad I pushed through.

Here is my pattern review and some pictures. Don’t mind the bare feet and my little partner who insisted on taking the pictures with me. He would run to the spot I was taking a picture at every time the self timer went on smh. Life!!

Pattern Review

Pattern Description: McCalls M7429

Pattern Sizing:  I cut a size 14. I could have done 16

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? It eventually did.

Were the instructions easy to follow? NOPE NOPE NOPE LOL

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I love the front twist but a that was harder to achieve than expected

Fabric Used: Lurex Sweater Knit from Minerva fabrics , Another Option

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: Yes the sleeves were originally fitted and I altered the pattern to get a mini bishop sleeve

Would you sew it again? I doubt it. Its cute though
