I would say alterations are the most underrated part of sewing, yet its the difference between you giving up on an outfit or you loving its transformation.
Alterations are a wide part of what I do and I wanted to let you in on a few alterations I get to do for my clients. In this video I show a quick alteration on a wool coat. My client prefers her coats or jackets to hit at a certain length and so she needed me to lengthen the coat if I could.
The key to a successful alteration is to see if there is anything you can do. So first before I took on this project I had to see if I had anything I could actually let out. See the rest of my process in the video below
